Koalas spend most of their time in the trees of the Eucalypt forests they inhabit. They have large paws with claws enabling them to ascend large trees by clasping with their forepaws and bringing their hindfeet up together.
Baby Koalas will leave their mothers pouch after 7 months and will travel on her back until they are 11 months old when they will then become independent.
Koalas sleep for 18 hours a day.
