Lemurs are only found on the island of Madagascar which is off the coast of Africa.
Ring-Tailed Lemurs have grey coats which are lighter (often white) on their bellies. They have a black muzzle and black rings around their striking brown eyes. They are unmistakable by their black and white striped tails which are used as a visual signal.
They move with ease across the trees and branches and are capable of leaping several metres. Unlike the other lemurs, the ring-tailed lemur will also travel across the ground.
